9/11 Motorcycle Ride to Close Lanes, Cause Traffic Drags on I-95

The ride, hosted by America's 9/11 Foundation, will pass through Baltimore County on Saturday morning.

The Maryland Transportation Authority is advising motorists to avoid northbound I-95 during the morning hours on Saturday as 2,500 motorcyclists, police and other vehicles will use the route on their way to New York City as a part of America's 9/11 Ride.

The ride could require temporary on-ramp and lane closures as well as traffic drags to ensure the safety of riders.

According to a press release, the bikers will leave the Pentagon in Arlington, Va., around 6:45 a.m. and travel north, arriving at the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel on I-895 between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m. The group will travel north along I-895 to I-95 and the riders will head to Maryland House in Harford County for a fuel stop around 9 a.m.

The bikers are expected to cross the Maryland/Delaware line at 10:30 a.m..
