BGE Working To Restore Power in Parkville & Loch Raven

A release on the company web site lists areas where people are still without power and where crews are working Wednesday afternoon.

Among the communities where crews are currently working to restore power are Parkville and Loch Raven, the list says.

"At this time, BGE expects the vast majority of customers to be restored by late Friday, with some scattered outages extending into Saturday, Sept. 3," the website said.

"Overlea community in NE Baltimore needs help with power. Been without since Sunday 1:30 am!!!!," the message said. It was followed by another: "MyBGE why is Overlea in Balt city missing from this list?"

Meanwhile, in Baldwin, user copboy4090 asked: "Can someone help me? Someone stole my patience in the darkness of powerless 21013. Darn thieves."

BGE spokeswoman Linda Foy released a message to the media earlier Wednesday stating that 80 percent of BGE customers have had power restored within 72 hours of the storm.

"Nearly 5,000 people including out-of-state linemen and support staff, BGE employees and contractors are actively engaged in the restoration effort and the utility remains confident that it will restore electric service to the vast majority of customers whose service is still out by Friday with some scattered outages possibly extending into Saturday," the release said.
