Candlelight Vigil for Teen Killed in Harford Road Accident

13-year-old Michael Trulock was killed when he was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Harford and Parktowne Roads Saturday.

Scores of family, friends and classmates holding candles stood in the cold Sunday night mourning the death of a Parkville Middle School student.

Thirteen-year-old Michael Thomas Truluck, of the 3900 block of Ridgecroft Road, was fatally injured Saturday evening when he was struck by vehicle.

"I had him in my car just Friday," said Stephen Baxter, a friend of the victim. "He's in a better place, we all love him."

"He was a brother to everybody, he didn't deserve this," Baxter said.

WJZ reported earlier today that the boy's mother, Kris Keys, said that her son had consumed the alcoholic beverage Four Loko which made him "sick to his stomach."

The boy fell out of a moving vehicle when he opened the passenger's side door and began to vomit. He was subsequently struck by a vehicle and later died of his injuries, according to Baltimore County Police.

Police have not confirmed that alcohol was a factor in the death.

A day after the teen's death, friends and family of the fallen boy left messages and roses near a sign on the corner of Harford and Parktowne Roads.

Sheila Everett, whose son had been friends with the victim since kindergarten, held a sign with a photo of the boy.

"You don't think this could happen to someone so young," she said.

WJZ is reporting that the "Truluck family will be taking visitors at Evans Chapel Funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. A prayer service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Saint Ursula’s Church."
