Parkville Guardsmen To Deploy In February

Ninety-two soliders from the 290th Military Police Company of the Maryland National Guard will deploy to Eastern Afghanistan near the beginning of next year.

A Parkville-based Maryland National Guard unit will be deployed to Afghanistan early next year.

The 290th Military Police Company of the Maryland National Guard will head to Bagram Air Force Base in Eastern Afghanistan in February, according to a report in the Baltimore Sun.

The guardsmen will be working with Afghan security forces and provide security, the report states.
