Singaporean Delegation Visits The Children's Guild

Educators from Signapore are visiting the Parkville-based Children's Guild for 2 weeks as part of a program to exchange ideas.

A group of Singaporean educators are visiting Parkville to exchange ideas with educators at a local school for children with special needs.

The Children's Guild, a non-profit that serves kids with a range of disabilities and operates a public charter school called the Monarch Academy, will exchange ideas with the Asian delegation about "education policy, school organization and instructional strategies."

On Monday afternoon, the visiting educators toured an exhibit at the Children's Guild called the "Brain Path".

The Children's Guild describes the exhibition as a "colorful ... hallway filled with larger-than-life props and images representing the functions of the brain—everything from the five senses to emotions—in order to present brain-based learning."
