GPCC Candidates Forum for State Senator and Delegates

Residents living in Parkville, Carney, and Cub Hill, you're

invited to get to know more about the candidates running for State Senator and

Delegate in the 2014 election.

Every four years we elect our representatives for Maryland’s General Assembly. The GPCC would like to give citizens an opportunity to get to know local candidates before the Primary Election, to be held June 24, 2014. Therefore, will be hosting a Candidate Forum on May 8th for candidates running for State Senator and Delegates.

The General Assembly makes many decisions that have an impact our lives, work, families, and community. This includes: balancing State budgets and determining taxes; providing funding for education and school renovations; incentives that promote business growth; prioritizing capital projects including transportation and roads; and laws that address crime and protect our health and well being.

It is important that theses candidates learn more about our community's needs and desires, so that if elected they can better represent us when making decisions. In addition, you can personally meet them and learn more about

their backgrounds, experience, priorities, and how they would vote on issues.

In addition, there have been changes in voting districts, and election dates. The GPCC will review these changes and have invited all the State candidates running in the Parkville, Carney, Cub Hill area to the forum.
