The Maryland School for the Blind (MSB) will be hosting
Camp Abilities Maryland, a developmental sports and recreation camp for
children and youth ages 9-17 with visual impairments, from August 4-7.
The purpose of the program is to empower campers
with visual impairments to be physically active, improve their health and
well-being and to gain confidence. The camp teaches students what they CAN do
in the area of sports, recreation and physical activity.
The camp is in need of volunteers to help with the
event. Volunteers will be responsible for helping students perform various
activities and basic daily functions. Volunteer applications will be accepted
through July 15 and can be found at www.campabilitiesmaryland.com.
