Greater Parkville Community Council Meeting

Guest Speaker, Mr. Donnell Zeigler, Baltimore County Office of Planning, will review Baltimore County’s 2012 Comprehensive Zoning Process.Baltimore County’s 2012 Comprehensive Zoning Process (CZMP) is officially underway. The CZMP takes place every four years. During which time anyone can petition to change zoning on any parcel(s) of land in Baltimore County. Requests to change zoning are typically submitted by: landowners, contract purchasers and developers, community organizations, and County Council.

Zoning is important to the stability of a community because it determines how property can be used
and what is allowed is built in the future (such as: the type of business or density of residential property).
