Parkville Lemonade Stand Raises $645 For Cancer Research

A lemonade stand held by a 6-year-old Parkville girl managed to raise $645 for the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Abigail Marinari, a student at St. Michael the Archangel School in Overlea, decided to open the lemonade stand after hearing about the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation from her kindergarten teacher Kim Eberwein.

The girl's mother, Carolyn, initially told Patch that she and her daughter would be happy raising $150 for the foundation at the lemoande stand they held last weekend—a goal long since surpassed.

"Abigail raised $490 on Saturday, when you add in the donations from the website, her current total is $645," Carolyn wrote in an email. "The website will remain active indefinitely, so there's no closing date for donations.
Thanks for your help getting the word out!!  We had several people come up to us and say they read about Abigail on the Patch!!"
