Back to the Eighties: a totally Awesome Musical. . . huh?

Back to the Eighties. . . a musical put on by high school students. Parkville High School. Cheap entertainment for the mid-week blahs!

So, we're putting on a musical at .  And many of the kids are participating.  We are also rennovating at Parkville.  And since the kids can't participate in that, we are holding our musical on Wednesday and Thursday this week - April 18th and 19th at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets are $5.00 at the door.  Now that the sales pitch is out of the way, let me tell you why I am writing this.

Like many schools, our kids at Parkville run the gamut between tremendously intelligent, gifted, set-the-science-world-on-it's-head kids to the "at-least-I'm-graduating" set.  From the "make-your-hair-stand-up-on-your-arms" crazy talented at singing and dancing group to the 'trip-over-their-feet' group.  From the "You-took-that-photo?" kids to the "How-do-I-focus-this-camera?" kids.  This week, we're showing off the crazy-talented singer, dancer, and actor kids!  These are the kids who don't make the evening news because they don't hold up the local 7-11 for money to help them score their next round of illegal substances.  These are the kids who come to school, and look forward to staying after for practice, who get their homework done between 3 and 4 so that they can take a nap before play practice between 7-9 each night the weeks before the play.  These kids are so wonderful, I want you to think about taking a mid-week break and coming to see them!  You'll enjoy yourselves, and they deserve the audience!

Why should you come see them?  Well. . . it's a musical right?  And I'm betting that you'll know a lot of the songs in it.  Also, it is going to be hysterical!  Lots of fun moments, funny lines, and plain old fun.  And who doesn't love sitting in a high school auditorium listening to teenagers putting on a show?  Almost as much fun as watching 4-year-olds putting on a show. . . no really, it will be more fun!  I'm going on Thursday, and I'm bringing my family.  Will you come?
