Time to Speak Up for an Elected Board of Education

The Pre-K to Grade 12 Education of the Children of Baltimore County is a sacred trust. We need the best people not the politically connected people to serve on the Baltimore County Board of Education

There are times when we need to disagree publicly with the Baltimore County Board of Education's public positions. Now is one of those times.

The trust given by citizens to the Baltimore County Board of Education has been betrayed. We must have a Baltmore County Board of Education that will remain independent and make decisions in a non-partisan way.

It is time to get the focus back on the children and their education by giving citizens the right to choose who will best represent them as members of the Baltimore County Board of Education.

The good citizens of Baltimore County are busy and tired, but if you can just take time to send an email to your State Senator and Delegates it will make a difference. Tell the State representatives that you favor an school board elected by the citizens of Baltimore County.

If you live in District 8

Our State Senator is Kathy Klausmeier and she is firmly committed to an appointed school board, but she is a good person and you may be able to help change her mind.

Senator Klausmeier's contact information is: email address katherine.klausmeier@senate.state.md.us and phone number 410.841.3620.

Our State Delegates are Joe Boteler, John Cluster and Eric Bromwell. I think Eric Bromwell favors an appointed school board, but I am not sure about Delegates Boteler and Cluster.

Joe Boteler's contact information is: email address joseph.boteler@house.state.md.us and phone number is410.841-3365.

John Cluster contact information is: email address john.cluster@house.state.md.us and phone number is 410.841.3526.

Eric Browell's email address eric.bromwell@house.state.md.us and phone number 410.841.3766.

If you live in another district
