Promises to Keep book review

Shapeshifters, vampires, and witches, oh my.

Yep, the new Amelia Atwater-Rhodes book is definitely for fans of the supernatural. The book is mostly geared toward high school and college students, but it would work for advanced, mature younger readers and older readers- there's no sex, but there is some violence.

Jay Marinitch, witch and occasional vampire hunter, finds an unconscious shapeshifter at a holiday party for vampires, rescues her, and then gets in deep trouble: it turns out the shapeshifter was the slave of his potential new love interest, and if he doesn't return the shapeshifter, he could become a slave himself. In addition to that, Jay's home at a hospital, where he works, has a major outbreak of a flu-like illness.
