Get Out! Weekend Fun Around Town
Race cars, neighborhood holiday celebrations and country star Blake Shelton singing at the state fair are just a few festivities happening nearby this weekend.
A three-day holiday weekend quickly approaches, and several outstanding events and activities will be held at a venue near you.
Fitness at the Overlea
Where/When: Back-to-School Week at , 6809 Belair Rd. on Friday at noon.
Why go: A comfortable atmosphere with the chance to work out under expert guidance, with Latin music and fitness gurus.
Price: $5 is the usual price, but this week students are free.
The Baltimore Grand Prix
Where/When: All weekend, Grand Prix events will take place at 323 West Camden Street in Baltimore.
Why go: The 2011 Baltimore Grand Prix will be a full three days of racing and entertainment. It will feature five professional car races: The IZOD Indycar series, the American LeMans series (ALMS), the Firestone Indy Lights series, the Star Mazda, and the USF2000 Series.

Blake Shelton at the State Fair
Where/When: Saturday night at 7 p.m., see Blake Shelton perform at the Maryland State Fair.
Why go: This country music singer and recent television singing coach on NBC's The Voice will perform with Chris Young at the Racetrack Infield. Gates will open at 5:30 pm. These guys are current favorites in the world of country music.
Price: Tickets are $42.50, including admission to the fair. The concert will be held rain or shine.
Movie Night at Honeygo
Where/When: , at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday
Why go: A family-friendly Saturday night showing of the movie Tangled. Activities begin at 7:40 p.m. with face painting, balloon sculptors, games, giveaways and more!

Labor Day Party at the Bowman
