Get Out! Weekend Fun Around Town

Events this weekend coming to a venue near you!

Family Camping at Cromwell Valley

Family fun never falls short at Cromwell Valley Park.  At 7 p.m., Friday meet at the park for a camping adventure fit for kids and parents alike. A campfire (along with songs and S'mores) and a night hike are just a couple of the fun things included in the mix. Bring your own camping gea. There are a few tents for four available — call to reserve. Bring dinner food. Breakfast will be provided. The scheduled rain date is just a day later, Saturday to Sunday. Reservations are required. The event is for all ages. Cost is $15 for members, $20 for non-members.

At 7:30 p.m., Friday, chocolate lovers will gather to sample the dark goodness invarying shades. Located at 7611 Harford Road in Parkville, a $10 admission gets you in for this “night of guilty pleasure!” Purchase tickets at the cafe or call 443-653-0643.    

Greek Food Festival

This weekend, at 24 W. Preston St. in Baltimore, great Greek food awaits in celebration of the tastes and heritage of Greece. Tours of the cathedral, sweet and savory foods, vendors, art, gifts and activities for children are just a sample of the Greek festivities in store. Collection for Birthright Pregnancy Center

The Life Scouts Troop 26 and in Parkville, are asking for donations of disposable pregnancy items for Birthright Pregnancy Center of Harford County. Drop off items at St. Ursula's Church at the following times: 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Nov 6, and 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Nov. 13. Fall Harvest Festival Days

It's not too late to join in fall festivities at Weber’s Cider Mill Farm in Parkville.  Included in a $5 admission is a hayride, straw maze, mini-straw maze, pedal tractors, hillside slide, tractor wagon ride, Duck Races and more.

Science Center Peanuts Exhibit

Investigate the natural world through the eyes of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and your favorite Peanuts characters at the Maryland Science Center, 601 Light St.This new interactive exhibition for families runs through January 1.

Downtown Baltimore Oyster Celebration Week

One of Maryland's favorite culinary delights, the oyster, is being celebrated this week and can be found prepared in a multitude of fashions. To sample the special oyster dishes, visit any of the restaurants taking part in the event. Restaurants participating include: B&O Restaurant, The Capital Grille, Charleston, City Cafe, Corks, Diamond Tavern, Kali's Court, Miss Shirley's, Morton's, The Oceanaire, Pickles Pub, The Prime Rib, Ryleigh's Oyster, Talara, and Tio Pepe.
