Grab and Go Kids Planner

There are good things to get into with the family this week.

Good times are coming your way this week with these family-friendly events. 

Pajama Story Time at the Parkville Library

Wednesday night at 7 p.m. the Parkville Library will present this story time for children ages 2 to 5 (with an adult), where kids can wear their pajamas to listen to bedtime stories. No registration is required.

The Great Zucchini

Washington, D.C.'s leading children's entertainer performs at Charm City Kids Club in Lutherville on Thursday. From 10:30-11:30 a.m., this comedy and magic show will leave your kids laughing. Family Fun Friday at the Y

The in Parkville invites you and your family to an activity-packed Friday night from 6–9 p.m. Take a swim in the pool, a fitness class, and let the kids enjoy an assortment of other games and activities. Sneak some family time in on a free night of fun at the YMCA. 

Fungus Among Us

Explore the woods in search of mushrooms and learn about their role in the ecosystem at the Anita C. Leight Estuary Center in Abingdon from 10-11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Formatted for ages 7 and up, reservations are required. Call 410-612-1688, or visit otterpointcreek.org for more information.

Pirates of the Chesapeake

Marshy Point Nature Center has a little swashbuckling in store for kids. On Sunday, from 2–3:30 p.m., dress your family up like pirates and learn about notorious seafarers and scallywags. The naturalists have pirate adventures ready for the kids and parents alike.

Furs, Feathers and Scales

The Baltimore Zoomobile comes to the Parkville Senior Center to offer a fun and interactive learning experience for kids and their grandparents on Monday, August 22, from 1-2 p.m. Come to meet various zoo animals and learn about habitats and zoology.
