PCRC 8 Tours the new 911 Call Center in Towson

Tour of the Neww 911 Call Center in Towson

This month's monthly meeting of the PCRC 8 was a tour of the new 911 Call Center in Towson.  Councilman David Marks kindly arranged for an Oak Crest Village Van to transport all 23 people who attended the tour.  Without a doubt, the Call Center is one remarkable place to see.  Sgt. Bruce Aris conducted the tour and provided an excellent explanation of what happens when a 911 call comes in and the follow up that takes place.  The average person may think when they call 911 and the operator asks questions, keeping them on the phone, that time is being wasted.  That is not the case.  The minute the call is answered, action goes into place and whatever emergency vehicle/personnel is needed is already on it's way.  If ever given the opportunity to take the tour please do so.  You will not be disappointed.

Ours thanks go out to Councilman David Marks and to Sgt. Bruce Aris.

Pat Crum, Treasurer
