Cedonia Crime: Carjacking on Hazelwood Avenue
The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases were a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.
Hazelwood Avenue at Emelia Avenue, at 1:45 a.m. July 12. A woman was carjacked at gunpoint. Three men approached the vehicle, displayed a handgun, and ordered the victim out of her 2003 Toyota Celica.
A short time later police pursued the vehicle on Hamilton Avenue near Chesaco Avenue. The vehicle was abandoned in the 5400 block of Langdon Lane—police searched the area for the carjackers but were unable to find them.
The vehicle was later returned to its owner. Police are investigating a relationship between the victim and the carjackers.

Hazelwood Avenue, 4900 block. July 18. A woman was robbed of a purse containing $80 as she was getting into her car at Charlie's Convenience Store. Police describe the robber as a man between 17 and 20 years old, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 pounds. The thief was last seen wearing a dark blue t-shirt with long, dark shorts and dark sunglasses.
The purse and its contents were later recovered in a wooded area near Emelia Avenue.

Marquette Road, 6000 block. Between 7 and 9 p.m. July 18. A 60-inch television was stolen from a home. The burglar got inside by breaking the glass on the basement door.
