UPDATED: Cedonia Man Arrested In Owings Mills Man's Murder

Baltimore County police have made an arrest in the June 12 murder of Miguiel Bailey.

UPDATE (2:05 p.m.)—A 21-year-old Cedonia man is under arrest and charged with the June 12 murder of an Owings Mills man who was found dead in his car on Mopec Circle.

Linwood Tymais Smith of the 4900 block of Todd Avenue is charged  with first-degree murder in the death of Miguiel Bailey, according to a statement released by the Baltimore County Police Department.

Smith is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Bailey, an Owings Mills man, was found shot to death in the back seat of his Chevrolet Impala in the unit block of Mopec Circle on June 12. Initial investigation revealed that he was killed during an attempted armed robbery, police said in a news release.

Smith was also shot in the cheek during the incident and police found and arrested him at Good Samaritan Hosptial where he went to seek treatment, according to the release.

Homicide detective continue to investigate Bailey's death.

Smith is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. A district court hearing has been scheduled for July 20 at 8:30 a.m. 

Smith was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession with the intent to distribute back in 2010. In 2007, he was charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, and a count each of theft over $500, the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, and possession of a shotgun as a minor. All of the 2007 and 2010 charges were ultimately dropped, according to state court records.
