City Man Charged With Parkville Theft, Burglary

Police say that Kavon Allen stole keychains from a Home Depot store then broke into a home to evade arrest.

A Baltimore City man was arrested on Monday after he allegedly tried to steal keychains from the Home Depot store in Perring Plaza.

Kavon Dajuan Allen, 24, of the 1600 block of E. 25th Street, was arrested and charged with theft, burglary, second-degree assault and resisting arrest.

Allen allegedly tried to steal keychains from the store around 1:05 p.m. and was stopped by a security guard there, police said.

He then allegedly got into an altercation with that security guard, ran out of the store and broke into a home in 8700 block of Satyr Hill Road to evade police, according to police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher.

Officers found Allen hiding in the corner of a bedroom and, when they tried to arrest him, he allegedly resisted, Rogers said.

Allen was initially held at the Baltimore County Detention Center but has since been released on $20,000 bond.

Allen was initially held at the Baltimore County Detention Center but has since been released on $20,000 bond. is that all!? wow,,,,,,,,,,,, all that violence and breaking in to some ones home and fighting with the police and he got relased on that little bit of bail!? that's absurd! who agrees with me? how about $100,000. would that a be more appropriate? of course its a judgement call by the commissioner, an assessment of "is he a flight risk " correcct ? oh and what abou the home owners? where they home?

He doesn't look sorry. We need to fix our justice system it isn't a revolving door.

Check him out on the MD Judiciary Case Search. By my count there are 13 CRIMINAL entries. But don't be too hard on him. I mean I'll bet that he was "...just getting his life together after having a rough start as an 'at-risk youth' in Baltimore City." Watch out what you say about him. I'll bet that he is "a really nice guy...would give you the shirt off his back,,,attends church regularly with his Mama...and is actively pursuing a career as a promising rapper/musician/singer/prospective NBA player."

The innocent people just keep paying and paying and paying, probably including payment for his defense atty. against the people that have been wronged. How do the police feel about it, after their at risk work? He hits them and gets out on bond to run the streets some more? We have to fix this system and make the wrongdoer pay.

How dare you say he was underprivildeged !! ( "at risk child") with no father in the house ( I added that) let's be 100% honest these dumb types come in all shades,,,do we have a crime problem that is mostly urban related ? yes, the precentages say it is mostlly Baltimore city youth ,,,,,,, just ask the mayor she;lkk tell you.... again these dumb types come in all shades,,,

How did he get into the homeowners home? I hope he will be charged with breaking and entering into the Satyr Hill Rd home. He is from Baltimore City, did he arrive in his own car or on a bus??? More Baltimore City trash disrupting Baltimore County neighborhoods.
