County Police Identify Man Killed in Parkville Motorcycle Crash

Einar Enriques Orta of White Marsh died of injuries suffered in an early Friday crash on a Harford Road exit ramp from the Baltimore Beltway.

Baltimore County police officials have released the identity of a man killed in a motorcycle crash in Parkville early Friday.

Einar Enriques Orta, 36, of the 10800 block of Proctor Avenue in White Marsh died in the crash that took place just before 1 a.m., according to a statement from police spokesman Cpl. John Wachter.

County police and fire units responded to the ramp from westbound I-695 to northbound Harford Road for the report of an accident involving a motorcycle, according to the statement.

The Crash Team also responded because of the report that one of the persons involved received serious injuries, according to Wachter.

The initial Crash Team investigation found that an adult male, later identified as Orta, was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle on the exit ramp. The motorcycle ran into the back of a Subaru Forester traveling in front of it. The impact caused the motorcycle to go off of the roadway, and Orta was thrown from the bike.

Orta was taken by a Maryland State Police helicopter to the University of Maryland's R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Subaru was not injured, according to the statement.
