Crime: Attemped Bank Burglary

Your weekly wrap-up of crime in Parkville and Carney, compiled from police reports at Parkville Precinct 8.

E. Joppa Road, 2000 block. On or before May 7 at 1 p.m. Someone tried to break into Chesapeake Bank of Maryland by removing a panel from a heating & air conditioning unit on the roof. The burglars were unable to enter the bank.

Harford Road, 7700 block. At 9:20 p.m. May 11. A man, intoxicated after leaving an area bar, was robbed by one of two men after they took exception to a comment he made to a female bystander. One of the suspects, upset by the victim's comment, demanded the beer that the victim was carrying. The victim refused, at which point one of the men took cash from the victim's pocket along with two beers and fled.
