Parkville/Carney Crime: Attempted Robbery at Harford Road Pharmacy

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases were a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Harford Road, 9500 block. At 7:04 p.m. Dec. 29. A man attempted to rob Harford Road Pharmacy shortly after it closed for the evening. Employees had set the store alarm and were in the entryway to the store, locking the interior doors when a man, armed with a handgun, approached and attempted to get inside.

When the robber found that the doors were locked, he began to bang on the door with the gun he was holding and the employees fled into the store where they called 911. Police responded to the scene with K9 units and a helicopter to search for the robber but were unable to locate him.

Police are searching for a white male suspect in his 20's, approximately 5'8" tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds with a medium build.

Odeon Court, unit block. Between 11 p.m. Dec. 21 and 5 a.m. Dec. 29. Video games for the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii and jewelry were stolen from a home, a total estimated loss of $8,000. Burglars got inside the home through an unlocked rear window.

Waltham Woods Road, 9000 block. Between 7:15 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Dec. 27. The door to an apartment was damaged in an attempt to break-in to the unit. Burglars were unable to get inside, and nothing was stolen.

Willoughby Road, 2800 block. Between 7 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. Dec. 27. A jewlery box, cash and a bracelet were stolen from a home. A locked back door was damaged during the burglary.
