Crime: Bikes, ATVs and Power Tools Stolen from Homes

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Old Harford Road, 8700 block, between midnight and 8 a.m., July 29. A GT Performance bicycle and a Felt Vault Vivd bicycle, valued at a total of $480 were stolen from the back yard of a home.

Parktowne Road, 3000 block, between noon and 4:45 p.m., July 31. A DeWalt hammer drill, a DeWalt circular saw and an air conditioning unit, valued at $1,375, were stolen from a home. Each of the power tools bears an engraved Soundex number. A burglar gained access to the home without forcing entry and extied through the front door.

East Joppa Road, 2800 block, between 5 p.m., July 31 and 7 a.m., Aug. 1. A red, black and white 1999 Yamaha Blaster ATV, a black 2004 Polaris Predator ATV with red graphics and a blue 1997 Yamaha Warrior ATV with grey graphics were stolen from a fenced area near a home. The total value of the ATVs is approximately $7,000.

Burglars cut a chain locking the fence, then moved some unwanted items before cutting three chains connecting the vehicles and removing them from the property. A prior attempt to steal the vehicles took place on March 24.

Park Drive, 7200 block, between 3 p.m., July 29 and 9 a.m., Aug. 1. A faded red Italjet dirtbike was stolen from a residence. A window was broken duirng the theft.

Harford Road, 9700 block, 10 p.m., Aug. 1. Three male juveniles were confronted by a witness as they attempted to remove paving stones from the Law Offices of Raphael Santini. In connection with the incident, 911 was not contacted and no one has been arrested.

Harford Road, 8400 block, between 9:15 p.m., Aug. 1 and 9 a.m., Aug. 2. Someone broke into ABC Driving School by prying open the front door. The burglar left a pry bar inside the building but nothing was taken.

Waltham Woods Road, 8900 block, between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m., Aug. 4. The K-Mart store was broke into when someone used a cutting tool to open the garden shop gate. Nothing was taken or disturbed.
