Crime: Burglars Scale Apartment Wall To Steal iPods, Jewelry

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Taylor Avenue, 2900 block. Between 5 p.m. July 21 and 4 p.m. July 23. Three iPods, one computer camera and two yellow gold necklaces were stolen from an apartment. Burglars climbed up a rear apartment wall to an awning that they used to access an unlocked kitchen window. The burglars then dead-bolted the front door and stole the above-listed items.

Appleton Avenue, 3300 block. Between 6 p.m. July 21 and 9:05 a.m. July 22. A lawnmower was stolen from a shed located on the property of a home by two men who fled in a white Dodge Dakota.

Manor Road, 13000 block. Between 12 a.m. July 24 and 9:10 a.m. July 26. Someone tried to burglarize a home by breaking in via a rear window.

Glenview Road, 5400 block. Between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. July 28.  Numerous power tools were stolen from a home. Burglars pushed in a window screen to gain access, then stole the tools.
