Crime: Dirt Bikes Stolen from Pete's Cycle

Here's your weekly wrap-up of crime in the Overlea-Fullerton area, compiled from police reports at White Marsh Precinct 9.

Belair Road, 7500 block. At 5:37 a.m. May 24. Six dirt bikes of various makes and models were stolen from Pete's Cycle, a total loss of more than $14,000.

In the early morning hours, three men broke a glass door at the business in order to gain entry, then stole the dirt bikes. A witness said the men loaded the stolen bikes into a black or green van with the name of a church printed on it.

Belair Road, 7900 block. Between May 10 and May 20 at 3:40 p.m. 12 Baltimore Ravens jerseys, 10 Baltimore Orioles jerseys, 10 University of Maryland Terps T-shirts and eight Baltimore Ravens caps were stolen from Wild Bill's Apparel, a loss estimated at $2,400.

The burglar broke a ground-level window at the business to gain entry.

Shady Spring Avenue, 6000 block. Between 9 p.m. May 16 and 9 a.m. May 19. A man broke into a residence by breaking a basement window and then forced open a locked interior door to gain access to the ground level. A witness discovered the burglar inside the house, and the burglar fled the scene.

Police later arrested 58-year-old Jeffrey Nicholas Kopp of Elm Avenue in connection with the incident and charged him with fourth-degree burglary.
