Crime: Hillendale Man Charged in Attempted Theft of Lottery Machine

Hillendale

Oakleigh Road, 8400 block. At 12:12a.m. June 30. Two men tried to remove a lottery machine from the Oakleigh Convenience Store. They fled in a stolen car. Police arrested one man, 27-year-old Frank Darcell Martinez of the 1400 block of Taylor Avenue. He has been charged with second-degree burglary and grand theft auto.

East Joppa Road, 1700 block. Between 6 p.m. June 30 and 7:55 a.m. July 1. Someone broke a store window. Nothing was taken.

Solar Circle, unit block. At 8:50 p.m. June 29. Someone stole a woman's grey purse as she walked down the street. It contained a driver's license and Bank of America debit card, among other things.

Forrest Avenue, 7400 block. Between 7 p.m. June 30 and 4:30 p.m. July 1. Two electric trimmers were stolen from a backyard.
