Crime Log: BGE Impersonators Con Woman, Ransack Home

Hillendale

Oakleigh Road, 7800 block. 2:30 p.m., Aug. 9. A man knocked on an elderly woman's door, claiming to be a Baltimore Gas and Electric employee and that the woman's house had faulty wiring. While they were talking in the backyard, another man ransacked the house, stealing jewelry and cash.

Taylor Avenue, 1700 block. Between 10 p.m., Aug. 12 and 11:30 a.m., Aug. 13. Someone opened an unlocked rear window and pried open a door, then removed unknown property.
