Crime: Vehicle Stolen in Owings Mills Recovered in Parkville

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Harford Road & Manns Avenue. At 6:38 p.m. on June 2, a stolen vehicle was recovered after a routine traffic stop. Police stopped Anthony Robinson, 42, for exceeding the speed limit. A check of his driver's license revealed that it had been revoked.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle Robinson was driving, a silver SUV, had been stolen in Owings Mills on May 23. The license plates on the SUV had been replaced by Maryland tags registered to a 2002 Lexus that had not been reported stolen.

Also recovered during the stop were a purse found to have been stolen in Baltimore at an unknown time, and a GPS unit stolen from Harris Avenue in Parkville on June 2.

Robinson was arrested and charged with auto theft, multiple counts of theft from auto, and several traffic violations, including operating a vehicle on a suspended license.

Viewridge Drive, unit block. Between 8 p.m., May 31 and 9:30 a.m., June 1, a Henry .22-caliber lever-action rifle, a television, a fireproof safe, fireworks, a hookah, an Airsoft pellet gun modeled after an AK47 rifle, and several lightbulbs were stolen from an apartment.

Waltham Woods Road, 9000 block. Between 4 a.m., May 30 and 11:30 p.m., June 1, a television, 100 DVDs and a black pool case containing three pool cues were stolen from an apartment, an estimated loss of $3,025. The front door was pried open to gain entry and the apartment was ransacked.

Waltham Woods Road, 8900 block. Between May 28 and May 30, there was an unsuccessful attempt to break into an apartment. Police officers observed pry marks on the front door of the unit.

Glen Arm Road, 11900 block. Between 2 p.m., May 24 and 4:20 p.m., May 28, a storage shed owned by BGE was broken into. Nothing was stolen but a fence at the location was cut, and the shed door was pried open.

Glendale Road, 2700 block. Between April 30 and May 28. A watch and several video games were stolen from a home. A basement door was pried open to gain access to the home.

Putty Hill Avenue, 7900 block. At 12:07 a.m. on May 27, a man was outside of Putty Hill Liquors when an employee saw the man  peering into closed shops and called 911. Police found Michael Scott Rangione, 29, of Nottingham behind Putty Hill Shopping Center with three flathead screwdrivers, a crowbar and a pair of gloves. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree burglary.
