UPDATE: Families Displaced After Fire Destroys Six Apartment Units

The blaze occurred Wednesday afternoon in the 2900 block of Andorra Court.

UPDATE (8:53 a.m.) - Six Parkville families were displaced following a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex Wednesday afternoon. No one was injured in the fire.

Volunteers from the American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region is offering the families displaced by the blaze in the 2900 block of Andorra Court financial assistance to help replace food, clothing and other necessities lost in the fire, according to Red Cross spokesman Doug Lent.

"Red Cross workers will continue to follow up with everyone involved until all their immediate needs have been met," Lent wrote in an email.

No injuries have been reported as a result of a two-alarm apartment fire in Parkville Wednesday afternoon.

Baltimore County Fire Department crews responded to the 2900 block of Andorra Court in Parkville around 3:55 p.m. Mar. 20, according to fire officials. Firefighters found fire coming from the balconies of two third-floor apartments.

The fire was extinguished by 4:10 p.m. and no injuries were reported, officials said.

A second alarm was called to bring in additional manpower, officials said.
