Firefighter and Resident Injured in Rosedale Fire

An Analee Avenue home caught fire last night.

A home on the 8300 block of Analee Avenue in Rosedale caught fire Wednesday night, leaving a resident and firefighter with minor injuries, officials said.

The one-alarm blaze was reported after 11 p.m. on Wednesday. Engine 16 from Golden Ring was first to respond to the apparent kitchen fire, which caused a large amount of smoke. The fire was brought under control shortly before midnight, said Baltimore County Fire Department spokeswoman Elise Armacost.

One adult resident was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries, Armacost said. Other residents were unharmed.

While battling the blaze, one firefighter fell from a ladder and was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with minor injuries. The firefighter has since been released, officials said.
