Fullerton House Fire Injures One

A man was transported to Shock Trauma with multiple burns following the blaze on Sipple Avenue on Saturday night, county firefighters said.

A man was transported to Shock Trauma and a second resident was displaced from their home following a fire Saturday night in Fullerton.

Firefighters responded to the unit block of Sipple Avenue around 7:40 p.m. and had the blaze under control by 8:06 p.m., county firefighter Glenn Bitters said.

Bitters said the man injured in the fire suffered multiple burns, although the injured do not appear to be life-threatening. He added that the Red Cross offered assistance to the other person at the home.

Bitters said the fire started in the basement and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
