Golden Ring 7-Eleven Robbed At Gunpoint

The robbery occurred early Tuesday morning.

A Rosedale-area 7-Eleven store was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning.

Two men entered the store, in the 6400 block of Golden Ring Road near the intersection with Kenwood Avenue, around 2 a.m. Jan. 15, according to a police report.

The men displayed a handgun and went behind the counter where they assaulted a store employee, the report states. They forced the employee at gunpoint to open the registers and stole money, then demanded that the victim take Newport cigarettes from a display and place them into a black trash bag.

In total, the two men stole $70 and 80 packs of cigarettes before leaving the store on foot in the direction of Kenwood Avenue, the report states.

Police have released descriptions of the two men suspected in the robbery.

The first is described as a black male between 20 and 25 years old, approximately 5'5" and 170 pounds with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hood, black mask, black t-shirt, red and white striped long-sleeve shirt, gloves and black pants.

The second is described as a black male between 20 and 25 years old, approximately 5'10" and 200 pounds with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hood, black mask and black jacket.
