Police: Rosedale McDonald's Robbers Forced Manager to Empty Safe

A Rosedale-area McDonald's store was robbed at gunpoint late last week.

At about 5:12 a.m. on Oct. 19, an employee was waiting for the opening store manager to arrive at the McDonald's in the 6300 block of Kenwood Avenue. She was approached by two men who led her at gunpoint to a nearby car wash to await the arrival of the store manager, according to a police report.

When the manager arrived, the men approached, with the victim in tow, and demanded to be let into the restaurant, the report said.

Once inside, the robbers ordered the store manager at gunpoint to turn off the security alarm and lead them to the office, where they demanded that she empty the safe, the report said.

The robbers then left the store and got into an four-door sedan and drove off, according to the report. No further details on the vehicles were available.

Police describe the robbers as black males between of 20 and 25 years old. One is approximately 6 feet tall, weighs 200 pounds and was last seen wearing a blue coat, blue jeans and a black hat and armed with a black handgun.

The other is approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and was last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
