Loch Raven/Hillendale Crime: Man Shot in Drive-By Outside Apartments

Loch Raven Boulevard and Loch Bend Drive. At 2:45 a.m. May 28. A man was shot outside the Welcome Inn apartments. Two men were seen driving away from the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition, according to police spokeswoman Detective Cathleen Batton.

La Salle Road, 8100 block. At 1:10 p.m. May 21. Three men approached two victims. Two of the men displayed semi-automatic handguns and demanded their property. The robbers took an iPod, LG cell phone and an iPhone then fled on foot.

Glen Gary Road, 8100 block. Between noon and 4:30 p.m. May 28. A gray bike, valued at $250, was reported stolen from a fenced backyard.

Greenway Road, 8400 block. At 12:25 p.m. May 20. A purple child's bike was reported taken from a backyard.

Glendale

Loch Raven Boulevard and Sayward Avenue. At 10:27 p.m. May 24. Two females had a confrontation with another woman. One woman beat the victim with a curling iron and displayed a knife while the other struck the woman. A Cricket cell phone and hooded sweatshirt were reported stolen but were recovered when police arrested two suspects minutes later. Police arrested a juvenile and Keyaira Summers, 23, of the 2800 block of Denham Circle in Brooklyn. She was charged with second-degree assault and released on her own recognizance.

Ridgeleigh

Joan Avenue, 1700 block. Between midnight May 26 and 10 a.m. May 28. A 2008 Yamaha Vino was reported taken from a fenced yard.

Hillendale

Collinsdale Road, 6600 block. Between 6:30 p.m. May 24 and 7:30 p.m. May 26. Someone climbed to a second-floor apartment and took two bikes.

Glenbarr Court, 6600 block. Between 2:30 and 3:45 a.m. May 23. Someone climbed through an open window and stole $95 from a home and change from a kitchen table.
