Loch Raven/Hillendale Crime: Boy Puts Bike Owner in Chokehold

Pleasant Plains Road, 8300 block, 10:10 p.m., Sept. 10. A man was assaulted after refusing a boy the use of a bicycle. The victim was sitting on his bicycle and a boy, whom he did not know, asked to use it. When the man said no, the boy threatened him, put him a chokehold, dragged him to the ground and left without taking the bike.

English Oak Road, 6600 block, between 7 a.m. and 5:15 p.m., Sept. 6. A 42-inch television and Vizio laptop were stolen, and a desk was knocked over. The front door was not locked.

Feldbrook Road, 1600 block, between 5:01 and 5:32 p.m., Sept. 10. A boy stole a bike from a backyard and rode it to Rite Aid. The homeowner recovered the bike, and the boy fled southbound on Loch Raven Boulevard.

Glenbarr Court, 6600 block, 8:15 p.m., Sept. 11. Someone forced a door open, and the resident asked who it was. When the resident got to the door, the person was gone.
