Taylor Avenue, 1000 block. 10:14 p.m. Aug. 1. Three men knocked a man to the ground, dragged him across the sidewalk, removed his cargo shorts and took a brown T-Mobile flip phone and a wallet. The three men fled toward Salvo Auto Parts. The wallet was later recovered.
Wentworth Avenue, 1700 block. 2:36 a.m. Aug. 5. A resident woke up to find four men trying to break into his shed. He went outside and the men fled toward Forrest Avenue.
Loch Raven
Aberdeen Road, 1700 block. Between 7:30 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. Aug. 3. A burglar pried open a door frame and stole an Xbox 360 and an industrial floor leveler.
Ridgeleigh
Oak and Red Oak roads. Between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 5:15 a.m. Aug. 2. A 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Virginia tag XAJ1057) was reported stolen. Police had no information on how the vehicle was taken.
