Bel Air Man Dies After Truck Hits Tree in Parkville

Police say a fatal crash occurred Friday morning at Harford Road and Knoll Acres Court.

A 57-year-old Bel Air resident died Friday after a single-vehicle collision at Harford Road and Knoll Acres Court in Parkville, according to police.

At 4:49 a.m. Friday, Robert Lee Hodges, Jr. of the 200 block of Timber Trail, died after a truck hit a tree at that intersection, according to a news release Friday afternoon from the Baltimore County Police Department.

Hodges was traveling south on Harford Road when he crossed the double-yellow center line at Knoll Acres Court it states. His "2002 Ford F-150 crossed over the northbound travel lane, left the roadway and struck a tree," according to the news release. 

Hodges was taken to Franklin Square Hospital where he was pronounced deceased, it states.
