Nottingham Crime: Teen Arrested In Nottingham Arson

The following information was obtained from the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Pinewall Place, unit block. At 6:43 p.m. Sept. 16. A 13-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly trying to set fire to an apartment building. A witness saw the 13-year-old boy light a paper menu on fire in the vestibule of the apartment building. The boy then placed the burning menu on the carpet and left the building. The carpet in the vestibule was damaged, and the boy was later arrested and charged with first-degree arson.

It is Patch policy not to name juveniles who have been arrested unless they are being charged as adults.
