Overlea Crime: Guns, Electronics Stolen from Elmwood Home
The following information was obtained from the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.
Elmwood
Cliffwood Road, unit block. Between 10 a.m. Aug. 3 and 3 p.m. Aug. 4. A computer, an Xbox, two shotguns, two rifles, coins and a safe were stolen from a home. Police estimate the total loss value at $26,600. Burglars got inside the home through an unlocked basement door.

Hazelwood Avenue, 4900 block. At 10 p.m. Aug. 4. A man was carjacked and his Toyota Camry was stolen after two men in the parking lot of Charlie Brown’s convenience store approached him. The men pointed a black handgun at the victim and fled in his vehicle down Emelia Avenue towards Whitby Avenue.
Westwood Avenue at Hazelwood Avenue. At 10 p.m. Aug. 4. A man was robbed of an iPhone and wallet in the parking lot of Charlie Brown’s convenience store. Two men approached the victim in the parking lot and punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground. One of the men then pointed a handgun at the victim while the other man went through his pockets.
