Overlea Crime: Nottingham Man Arrested For Handgun Posession

A Nottingham man was arrested Tuesday night for illegally possessing a handgun.

Mangkone Khamfong, 24, of the 4600 block of Riddle Drive, was stopped by police around 2:30 a.m. July 10 when he was on the parking lot of Cappy Cleaners in the 6700 block of Belair Road after the business was closed.

Khamfong consented to a search of his vehicle which turned up a Browning .25-caliber handgun, police said.

Khamfong was also charged with second-degree assault and resisting or interfering with arrest.

He was released from the Baltimore County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
