Parkville/Carney Crime: Cash Stolen From KMart Safe

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Nottingham

Ridgetown Drive, 8100 block. Between 2:30 and 4 p.m. Aug. 24. A safe containing rent money was stolen from an apartment. A burglar forced open a rear door in order to get inside.

Upridge Court, 2800 block. Between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. Aug. 24. Someone tried to break into an apartment by pushing in a window screen.

Perring Woods Road, 2500 block. Between 11:30 and 11:50 p.m. Aug. 24. Two computers and a cell phone were stolen from a home in what a police report calls "a theft to reconcile an unpaid narcotics debt."

Onyx Road, 2900 block. Between 9:45 and 10 a.m. Aug. 28. A radiatior was stolen from the porch of a home.

Carney

Chenoak Avenue, 2900 block. Between 11 p.m. Aug. 26 and 6 a.m. Aug. 27. Two wooden gates were stolen from fence.

Waltham Woods Road, 8900 block. At 5:30 p.m. Aug. 26. Cash was stolen from a safe inside a KMart store.

Video surveillance shows a man walking through the layaway area of the store, into the main office. Once inside, he looked around for several minutes, the video showed. Then the man pried open the layaway register, which was empty, before prying open the cash room door and stealing three trays of rolled quarters from a safe inside.

The burglar is described as a white man between 26 and 30 years old, approximately 5'11" tall, 190 pound and bald. He was last seen wearing black glasses, a black "G Unit" hoodie, jeans and black shoes.
