Parkville/Carney Crime: Purse Snatching on Wilson Avenue

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Upridge Court, 2800 block. Between 6 and 7 a.m. Aug. 24. The window screen at a home was bent outwards in order to try and break into a home. Entry was not gained.

Wilson Avenue at Woodside Avenue. At 12:40 p.m. Aug. 21. A woman was robbed of her Coach brand purse and wallet, cash, prescription medication and cell phone. A man shoved the woman, took her purse and ran down Woodside Avenue toward Avondale Road.

Parktowne Road, 3000 block.Between Aug. 7 and 5:40 p.m. Aug. 21. A grass timmer and a Troybilt snowblower were stolen from an unlocked shed.

Ellen Court, 8600 block. Between 6 p.m. Aug. 19 and 7:10 a.m. Aug. 20. A gray Jamis Dakota mountain bike, valued at $1,700, was stolen from the back yard of a home. The bike was later recovered in front of the home where it was stolen.

Linwood Avenue, 3000 block. Between 10:15 and 10:22 a.m. Aug. 19. Two juveniles were arrested and charged with first-degree burglary after they allegedly broke into a home and stole a gold watch. Police responded to a call for a home alarm and found the front door to the home slightly open and a side window broken. Police chased the teenage boys on foot and arrested them.

E. Joppa Road, 2000 block. Between 6:13 and 6:43 p.m. Aug. 14. Conduit pipes and copper wire were stolen from a business under construction. The front door to the business was pried open and the stolen goods loaded into a dark blue Chevrolet pick-up truck.
