Parkville/Carney Crime: Three Residential Burglaries
The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases were a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.
Edgewood Road, 2900 block. Between 8:10 a.m. and 9:20 p.m. Jan. 12. A home was burglarized and ransacked, but it is unknown what—if anything—was taken. Burglars got into the house through a rear bedroom window.
Springtime Way, unit block. At 7:09 p.m. Jan. 10. Three juveniles attempted to break into a home. A man, sitting in his car, saw three boys sitting on an electric box near the home and watched them walk over to a side window. The man got out of his car and chased the boys, and when he returned he noticed a pair of pruning shears on the windowsill and an inch-long cut in the window screen.
The man then called police, who responded with K9 units and a helicopter to search for the suspects but were unable to locate them.

Dunwoody Road, 1800 block. Between 9:45 and 11:50 a.m. Jan. 10. Jewelry and a checkbook were stolen from a home. Burglars got inside by throwing a baseball-sized rock through a kitchen window located over the kitchen sink, then climbing inside. Two bedrooms inside the home were ransacked, and the above-listed items were stolen.
