Parkville Crime: Riding Equipment Stolen From Hydes Barn

The following information was obtained from the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Dunhaven Place, unit block. Between 9:50 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 11. Cash was stolen from underneath a seat cushion inside an apartment.

Elder Road, 5100 block. Between 10:45 p.m. Oct. 7 and 3:32 p.m. Oct. 8. A large amount of riding gear, approximately valued at $3,530, was stolen from the tack room of a barn in Hydes. Burglars got inside through a rear window.

Kintore Court, unit block. Between 1 and 5:30 a.m. Oct. 7. Cash and prescription drugs were stolen from a home. Burglars got inside through an unlocked rear window and exited through a front door.

Ellen Avenue, 2200 block. At 5:27 p.m. Oct. 5. A bicycle was stolen from a closed-in section underneath the porch of a home.

Oak Summit Avenue, 9600 block. Between 6:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Oct. 5. The back door to a home was damaged in what police called an "apparent burglary attempt". Entry to the home was not gained.

Walther Boulevard, 8600 block. Between 1 and 2 p.m. Oct. 4. A juvenile told his guardian that while he was walking in the area with two other kids, he was appraoched by a man who pointed a gun at him and demanded that he empty his pockets.

Police have been unable to verify the robbery, the victim refused to speak to police and the crime was reported second-hand.

Alda Drive, 9600 block. Betwen 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Oct. 4. Coins and a diamond ring were stolen from a home. Burglars got into the home through an unlocked back door.
