Parkville Man Arrested, Allegedly Intended to Sell Engine Starter Fluid As Inhalant

A Parkville man faces drug charges following a hazmat incident Monday night in which a bomb squad was called to a Parkville home.

Justin Trionfo, 19, of the 8300 block of Ridgely Oak Road is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with intent to distribute.

Court records show that Trionfo is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.

Trionfo was arrested Tuesday morning at the home of an acquaintance after police found Mountain Dew bottles filled with engine starter fluid and water in the basement of his Ridgley Oak Road home , said Baltimore County Police Department spokeswoman Cathleen Batton.

Trionfo and his acquaintance, an 18-year old, were allegedly bottling the fluid to sell as an inhalant, Batton said.

"People often misuse common household chemicals that you can buy over the counter and use them in the fashion that is not intended by inhaling them," Batton said.

Batton said that Trionfo's acquaintance had also been charged and that details regarding that individual would be released pending a bail hearing.
