Parkville Woman Pleads Guilty In 'Sex Slave' Case

Margaret Ellen Jones, 37, pleaded guilty to federal charges of conspiracy to produce child pornography.

A Parkville woman has pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday to charges that she conspired with her then-boyfriend to produce child pornography.

Margaret Ellen Jones, 37, of the 8600 block of Wendell Avenue entered the plea in federal court before U.S. District Judge James K. Bredar. She faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in prison for conspiracy to produce child pornography, followed by up to a lifetime of supervised release, according to a news release from the office of Maryland U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein.

Jones is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11 of this year, the release states.

Jones and her then-boyfriend John Andrew Blaes, 49, were indicted on federal charges in May 2012 after the couple documented a sexual relationship they had with a 15-year-old North Carolina girl, as reported by Patch.

and transporting a minor to engage in sex back in September 2012.

Blaes is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 19 at 2 p.m.

According to Jones' plea agreement, she and Blaes met online sometime prior to March 2010 and became involved in a sexual relationship involving bondage, domination, sadism and masochism.

She lived in Blaes' Parkville home and during the time from March 2010 to July 2011, Blaes used the Internet to contact other women and girls to involve them in the BDSM lifestyle, the agreement states. 

Blaes contacted the 15-year-old girl in July 2011, and the couple drove to North Carolina and brought the girl back to Maryland where she lived in their home, according to the plea agreement.

The couple engaged in sexual activity with the girl until November of 2011, the agreement states. The girl was instructed to call Blaes "master" or "sir" and Jones "mistress" and not to reveal the sexual nature of their relationship or her age.

Over the course of five months, Blaes and Jones used cameras and cell phones to document their abuse of the girl and shared those images over the Internet in order to recruit others into their lifestyle, the agreement states.
