Police Investigate Homicide on Sarah Lane

Police originally responded to a call for a cardiac arrest victim, but were later determined that the death was a homicide.

The death of a Cub Hill woman late Wednesday afternoon has been ruled a homicide, according to Lt. Robert McCullough of the Baltimore County Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to a home in the 2700 block of Sarah Lane around 4:40 p.m. for a call of a cardiac arrest victim. When they arrived, they found a woman dead inside the home.

Detectives, the forensics unit and the medical examiner responded to the scene, according to an email from police sent at 6:44 p.m.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, police determined that what was previously being investigated as a suspicious death was a homicide.

The identity of the victim, a woman who McCullough estimated is between 50 and 60 years old, is currently being withheld until police notify her next of kin.
