Police Search For Slain Hillendale Woman's Estranged Husband

Police have not issued warrants or filed any charges.

On Tuesday morning, Veronica Vernetta Glover was gunned down in front of her Hillendale home.

As of Wednesday morning, police have not filed any charges or issued a warrant, but are seeking to speak to the victim's estranged husband about his wife's death, according to police spokeswoman Elise Armacost.

Cory Shirell Bowman, 38, of the 1300 block of Dalton Court failed to appear in Baltimore County Circuit Court on assault charges Tuesday, Armacost wrote in an email. A Baltimore County judge issued a warrant for Bowman and police are seeking him in connection with that open warrant.

"Police believe that the victim in this case was targeted and that this was not a random crime," Armacost wrote.

Bowman was arrested in February and faced first- and second-degree assault charges and weapons charges; it was those charges he was scheduled to be in court to face Tuesday morning.
