Police Warn Public about Burglary Trend

Community Outreach officer Jason Goorevitz sent out an email warning Parkville residents to be aware of suspicious individuals after a number of similar burglary incidents during November.

Last month, there were at least six burglaries in a relatively small area of Parkville, according to an email sent out by Parkville's Community Outreach officer Jason Goorevitz.

In the email, he writes that the burglaries occurred on Hiss Avenue, Bagley Avenue, Shady Creek Way, Avondale Road, Willoughby Road and California Avenue. Four of the burglaries occurred on a Wednesday or Friday during daytime hours and two occurred overnight—in each case glass was broken or pried open to get inside the home.

"Please call 911 immediately if you observe any suspicious persons or vehicles," Goorevitz wrote.
