Series of Water Main Breaks in Overlea Leave Dozens Dry

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works repaired one break Monday night, and plans to fix a second break on Tuesday.

UPDATE (3:25 p.m.) Baltimore City Public Works spokeswoman said that the water main at Willowdale and Dale Avenues in Overlea had been turned back on and water had been restored to residents.

A Baltimore City Public Works crew worked overnight Sept. 12 to repair a water main break near Kenwood and Glenmore Avenues but Tuesday morning a second break was discovered.

As first reported by the Baltimore Sun, crews are currently working on a six-inch water main break near the intersection of Willowdale and Dale Avenues in Overlea. Water has been temporarily shut off to homes in the area while the work is being done leaving residents high and dry for at least a few hours.
